The North Idaho Fair begins today! Running from August 26th-30th, this annual event is a favorite of both locals and those new to North Idaho. This year’s fair has rides, carnival games, all your favorite fair foods and some killer events.

EVENTS –
Live Shark Encounter! These trained professionals will interact with the sharks and perform some fascinating stunts for the crowd!
Sea Lion Splash –
These sea lions know a whole lot of tricks including balancing balls, shooting hoops and flipping! Come join the fun!
Lady Houdini –
This woman broke Harry Houdini’s record for the most Water Torture Cell escapes ever performed. Lady Houdini Kristine Johnson performs all of her tricks in full view of the crowd.
Matt Sorensen Spray Can Art –
Using nothing more than spray cans, plates, knives, and even flames; Idaho native Matt Sorenson brings to life magical art pieces.
COMPETITIVE EXHIBITS –
The fair also features a variety of competitions in a variety of departments including fruits and vegetables, the open horse show, culinary arts, arts & crafts, photography and rabbits and other small animals. GRANDSTAND EVENTS –
Each night at the fair, the grandstand will host a special event, concert or exhibition. Tonight is the Craig Campbell concert at 7pm. Tickets are still available for purchase at the fair.

FAIR FOODS! –
Arguably the best part of going to the fair, all your favorites will be returning again. Get a mouth full of pizza, burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, elephant ears and my personal favorite, funnel cakes. A full list of vendors and their location within the fair can be found here

Adults (13-59): $10
Seniors (60+) / Youth (6-12): $5
Kids (5 and under): Free
Parking: $5 per vehicle

Carnival Hours of Operation
Wednesday: 2 to 10pm
Thursday: 2 to 10pm
Friday: Noon to 10pm
Saturday: Noon to 10pm
Sunday: Noon to 8pm
WEDNESDAY (TODAY!) – Free Hawaiian Lei and $1 admission to the first 1,500 people to enter opening day of the fair!
THURSDAY – $1 off coupons found in the Spokesman Review and on the Fair’s Facebook Page
FRIDAY – Pain the Fair Pink Day – Pink Ribbons for the first 2,500 attendees and $1 off admission to anyone wearing pink (before 3pm)
SATURDAY – All active and retired military get $1 off
SUNDAY – Kids 12 and under FREE before 3pm!
